How do I deflate an air chuck or air shaft?

Manually:
A-1360 air valve is deflated by pressing A-1404 air gun partially down.
A-1597 air valve may be deflated by pushing with finger.
Automatically:
Air inflating switch assembly is deflated by flipping switch to “deflate” position
Solenoid valve is actuated when a PLC provides required signal.
