How do guide flanges mount to the chuck?
Last Updated: 04/07/2007
Front (roll loading side):

Removable / Adjustable:  The guide flange is mounted to a locking collar which clamps to the core chuck.  Normally it is best to lock to the non- expanding / non-gripping portion.  Adjustable guide flanges are available to accommodate most designs.  Various quick locking clamps are employed to reduce roll changeover time.

Rear:

Fixed:  Typically three countersunk thru holes are provided in the guide flange.  These holes align with three tapped holes in the rear of the core chuck.  For example, when using the “Numbering System for Ordering” on the standard series, specify “H” for “Rear Guide Flange holes required”.  Bolt patterns vary for other core chuck series.  Custom mounting available.
