How Do I use oversize cores with a JRC Mechanical Chuck?
Last Updated: 03/27/2008

JRC QUICK LOCKING MECHANICAL CHUCK

Adding Shims to accommodate oversize cores

Please refer to drawing # B-3173

1. With Phillips head screwdriver, remove flat head screws in retainer-gripper.
2. Remover retainer-gripper, spring, gripper and step plate.
3. Cut three pieces 0.005” thick shim to fit between step plate and pad-rubber.
4. Re-assemble and test. If too loose, add more shims in increments if 0.005” thick. Add and subtract sets of three shims at a time. Adding only one shim will result in a non-concentric core.
